Hatton Capital acts as a lead investor in some instances to close deals or may acquire significant minority to majority stakes in promising companies that are scalable, defensible market positions and sustainable free cash flow.

Hatton Capital leads Bangkok Ranch Plc MBO

In January 2013, Hatton Capital led a management team buyout (MBO) of Bangkok Ranch Plc from Navis Capital Partners and Rabo Capital BV for Bt5.7 billion ($US188 million).

Danai Pathomvanich, Hatton’s managing director worked closely with Joseph Suchaovanich, a Bangkok Ranch co-founder to piece together the transaction.

Bangkok Ranch Plc with major production facilities in Thailand and the Netherlands is one of the world’s leading purveyors of premium quality duck-meat products.

In addition to the company’s Thai and Netherland’s founders, Hatton Capital invested in the MBO along with several international institutional equity investors including Black River Asset Management, Cassia Investments Ltd, UOB Bank and Bangkok Bank.
